Climate: continental highlands climate with hot summers and cold dry winters.
Soil: stony, heavy soil of volcanic origin.
Vinification: Hand harvested grapes are selected on the table before cold maceration. Fermentation is carried out at 26-28ºC for 20 days. Malolactic fermentation is realized in tanks.
Serving suggestions: It pairs good with red meats and pastas. Combines well with chocolate, too.
Tasting notes: This blend has intense ruby red color. One can feel red fruit aromas and some chocolate. In mouth is elegant, has good acidity and sweet tannins.
Aging potential: ready for immediate enjoyment.
Best before: 2017 (three years after bottling)
Ideal serving: 16 to 18 °C.

Alcohol: 14.2%.
Residual sugar: 2 g/l.
Producer’s comment: Excellent blend with big potential of aromas of fruits. The acidity makes the wine even more elegant.

Karas Vineyards estate, Tierras de Armenia, is 1000-1100 meters above sea level and is approximately 2300 hectares, with over 400 hectares devoted to the planting of the vineyards. The soil properties are comprised of volcanic loam with stony texture spread with pockets of clay. Both international and indigenous varietals are planted in the vineyards, including Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Kangun, Voskehat for whites and Malbec, Tannat, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon for reds.
